Settings Panel
The Settings tab provides operators with the tools to customize the graphics and to configure data sources.

- Name surname show
Defines competitor's name format (Surname, N. Surname, Name Surname).
- Main template
Defines competitor's data format for the main graphics (Name, Name + Team, Name + Team + Country, or Name + Country).
- Logo
Defines which logo or flag will appear next to the competitor's name (Country, Club, Region, Team, School, Province, or None). - Team name
Defines which team name will be displayed (Club, Region, Team, School, Province, or Custom - use Custom pattern field).
- Custom pattern
This customizable text field allows you to display specific combinations for Team name. You can enter them manually using curly brackets and hashtag (e.g., {Club#}), or select pre-defined variables from a helper menu by right-clicking inside the field (e.g., {Category}). Note: Team must be selected in Main template. - Server
Connects CGplay to the JM server. You can either type the IP address in manually, or click the question mark button to scan your network and select from provided list.
- JN sender filter IP
Defines the exact network IP address of the JudoNet sender. CGplay will filter the incoming network traffic and only accept UDP data packets from this specific IP. You can type the IP address in manually, or click the question mark button and select from provided list.
- Competition Name
This field allows you to manually define the official title of the event which is displayed in graphics. Checking the Srv box will automatically retrieve the name from the JudoManager server.
- Watermark img
Enter the exact filename of the event or sponsor logo you wish to display (enter only filename: e.g., watermark.png).
- Show doctor & Doctor image
Choose how to display medical interventions during a contest: NONE, INFO, or an IMAGE (enter only filename: e.g., doctor.png).
Note: All images and movies must be in the folder C:\CG\media\. If you have organized the file within a subfolder inside the media directory, you must enter subfolder\imgname.png in the text field.
- Main SB X +/- px
Allows operators to manually offset the position of the Main Scoreboard (MAIN SB) graphic by a specified number of pixels.
- CCG +/-
Defines the offset in the routing formula: [Mat Number] + [Offset] = [CasparCG Output Channel]. This is primarily used when splitting a large event across two or more CG computers. For instance, if you want Mat 6 to output to Channel 1 on a secondary machine, set the CCG +/- value to -5. Note: You must be disconnected from the CasparCG server (the ONLINE button must be gray) to apply these changes.
- CG Language
Defines the language for the CGplay interface and graphics (e.g., 'en' for English). Select your language from the dropdown menu, click Save Setting, and restart the application to apply the changes.
- Save Setting
Saves your configuration changes to the data.ini file. Some modifications may require you to restart the application or reload settings to take full effect. Note: All CGplay instances running on the same computer share a single data.ini file.
Right-clicking the ONLINE/OFFLINE status indicator reveals a hidden menu:
- Reload all setting forces the software to re-read data.ini without requiring an application restart (all not saved settings will be overwritten).
- Reset shown graphics per contest clears previously played templates, allowing you to re-trigger automated sequences during a live contest.
- Refresh options (such as Server settings or Club Images) pull the data from the JudoManager server, updating the active mat without altering the shared data.ini file.
FAQ
- Why is Main Scoreboard rendering in weird position? If your scoreboard is rendering off-position, it is usually caused by incorrect display coordinates. Set Windows Scaling
on the Graphics PC to 100% and restart for the fix to take effect. You
can manually adjust the coordinates for the MAIN SB with +/- px. This feature is disabled in the IJF version to enforce strict IJF presentation standards.
- Why do I see multiple JudoManager servers listed, when I click the "?" (Server Discovery) button in the Settings tab? This
means another computer on your local network (such as a spare backup
laptop) is actively running the JudoManager service in the background.
If you select the wrong server from that list, your graphics system will
get incorrect data.
- Where do I store images for the watermark or doctor graphics? All images and movies must be placed in the folder C:\CG\media\. In the CGplay text field, you only need to enter the exact filename (e.g., watermark.png). If you have organized the file within a subfolder inside the media directory, you must enter subfolder\imgname.png.
- I manually changed the Competition name, but it didn't apply to the other mats on my computer. Why? To make configuration changes permanent across all mats on the same computer, you must click the Save Setting button. This saves your configuration to the shared data.ini file. Note: If you want to retrieve the Competition name from the server again, check from SRV, click Refresh Server settings from the hidden menu, and click Save Setting.
- How do I output Mat 5 to Channel 1 on my CasparCG server? Disconnect from the CasparCG server (the ONLINE button must be gray), set the CCG +/- value to -4, save your settings, and then reconnect to the CasparCG server.
