Manual Graphics

Operations for non-automated sequences and supplementary information are located within the Manual CG tab.

Custom Text Graphics

Operators can generate custom announcements (such as commentator names, VIP guests, or event updates) by using the modules on the right side of the interface. The Manual CG tab provides specific sections to format your text:

  1. Upper txt: A main text box at the top. You can turn this text on or off by clicking the Show box next to it.
  2. SINGLE LINE: Features three separate text boxes for one-line messages. Each box has its own ONAIR button to instantly show the text on the live stream. 
  3. DUAL LINE: Features three separate text boxes for two-line messages. Use these when you need a main title and a subtitle (for example, a person's job title in the top box and their name in the bottom box). Each block has an ONAIR button to show it on screen.

Medalists & Award Ceremonies

When a competition block ends, you will need to show the podium graphics for the medal ceremonies. Go to the left side of the Manual CG tab, under the MEDALISTS - FOR SELECTED WEIGHT CAT. section:


  1. Click Get weights to download the list of all finished weight categories. (You can also check the manual weight ID and manual comp ID boxes and type in the numbers yourself if you want to pull specific medalists).
  2. Choose the weight category you want from the dropdown menu (for example, U18 | -50 kg).
  3. Click Get medalists for selected weight. This will fill the table with the top competitors, showing their Place, ONum, Country, Family Name, Given name, and Team.
  4. Choose how you want the graphics to look using the radio buttons:
    1. Team name: You can choose between a Club, School, or Team.
    2. Extra Show: Pick extra details to display on screen (Team, Team + Country, Country, or None).
    3. Logo: Pick which logo to show next to the competitor (Country, Region, School, None, Club, Team, or Province).
  5. Type the Competition name in the bottom box. If you want the text to split onto two lines, type a semicolon (;) where you want the line break.
  6. Click the MEDALISTS button to show the full podium graphic on the live stream as ceremony begins.

  1. If you only want to show a graphic for one specific competitor standing on the podium, click their name in the table and then click the SELECTED MEDALIST button.

FAQ

  1. Why do I get a "CG ADD FAILED" error in the CasparCG server console when I try to air custom text overlays? This error means that CGplay is communicating with CasparCG Server, but CasparCG cannot find or load the template requested by CGplay. Search for the .ft file in the CG ADD command and confirm that it exists in C:\CG\templates (check that extracting the template package has not created an additional folder, such as C:\CG\templates\templates). If .ft file is missing, reinstall the supplied template package or contact JudoManager Support.
  2. How do I display the final podium results for a medal ceremony? Navigate to the Manual CG tab, click "Get weights", select desired weight category, click "Get medalists for selected weight", once verified, click the MEDALISTS button to push the full graphic to the live stream.
  3. Can I show a graphic for just one specific person on the podium? Yes. After you get the medalists in the Manual CG tab, click on the competitor's name in the table, then click the SELECTED MEDALIST button. This displays a smaller graphic highlighting only that single person.
  4. How do I put a guest's name on the screen?
    Go to the Manual CG tab. Type the person's name into one of the text boxes on the right side (like SINGLE LINE or DUAL LINE) and click the ONAIR button next to it to display it immediately.
