Running a Competition Step by Step

Step 1: Creating a Competition

All competitions are created and managed through the official web platform admin.judomanager.com.

πŸ” Logging In

1. Open admin.judomanager.com in your browser.
2. Click the Go to Login button.


3. A new tab will open – enter your username and password, then click Login.

βž• Creating a New Competition

Once logged in:
1. In the left-hand menu, click Competitions.
2. Click Competitions button.
3. Click the New competition Button.


4. πŸ“ Filling in Competition Details
4.1 Title – Enter the name of your competition.
4.2 Date From / Date To – Set the start and end date of the competition.
4.3 Rank – Select the rank of the competition (e.g., National, Regional, International).
4.4 Type / Repechage – Choose the competition format and repechage system.
4.5 Address / City / Country or Club – Enter the location details of the event.
4.6 API User – Select the API user responsible for data access and integration.
4.7 Number of Mats – Enter how many mats will be used during the event.
4.8 Once all fields are filled in, click Save to create the competition.

πŸ’‘ You can always return later to edit these details or add more settings (like age categories, registration limits, or modules).

Selecting Age Categories

After saving the basic competition details, continue by selecting the age categories you wish to include in the event.
1. In the competition view, go to the Categories tab.
2. Click the Edit button next to the age category you want to configure.
3. To enable grouping for athletes with special needs, select Group Type: Special Needs from the available options.


πŸ‘₯ Adding Athletes (Entries)

To start adding athletes to your competition:
1. Open your competition and click on Entries tab.
2. Select the age category you want to work with (you created these under the Basic tab).
3. Use the search bar to find athletes from your database and add them to the competition.
4. Click Add next to the athlete's name to register them.

🧩 Assigning Special Needs Level (if applicable)
If you're organizing a Special Needs competition and already know the athlete’s Special Needs Level, you can assign it immediately when adding them. This will help later during the grouping process.

πŸ‘€ Managing Registered Competitors
1. All added athletes will appear in the Registered Competitors list. Here, you can:
1.1 Enter any additional Remarks for each athlete.
1.2 Assign the athlete's Coach (if known). This field is optional and does not need to be filled in.
1.3 Edit or remove the athlete if needed.
