Quick Guide: IJF Event Operations

Monitor automatic contest graphics, use IJF statistics and recover quickly during a live event.
Info
OPERATOR ROLE: Most IJF graphics run automatically. Verify the system before going live, monitor its status and use manual graphics only when required.

Before going live

  1. CasparCG Server and CGplay are running.
  2. ONLINE and UDP ONLINE are green.
  3. Mat nr. matches the assigned tatami.
  4. The Graphics PC has internet access.
  5. The automatic sequences for INTRO, MAIN SCORE and WIN are enabled.
  6. A complete test contest has been displayed successfully.
  7. Prediction and Versus data have been tested.

During a contest

  1. Monitor ONLINE and UDP ONLINE.
  2. Allow the automatic sequences to display the introduction, main scoreboard, Golden Score and winner graphics.
  3. Do not correct scores or contest results in CGplay. The table official must correct the Scoreboard data.
  4. Use manual triggers only when the automatic sequence does not provide the required graphic.

Predictions and Versus statistics

Alert
IMPORTANT: The MAIN SCORE graphic must already be active. Prediction and Versus graphics will not appear without it.

Predictions

  1. Click Getdata under MAIN: PREDICTION and verify the percentages.
  2. Trigger the graphic manually or enable its automatic option.

Versus statistics

  1. Click Getdata versus and verify the retrieved H2H, contest or Golden Score statistics.
  2. Trigger the required graphic. Configure On after sec and Off after sec before the live block whenever possible.

Custom text

  1. Click SHOW MANUAL TRIGGER/DEBUG and open the LOWER 3rd tab.
  2. Enter the text in a SINGLE LINE or DUAL LINE field.
  3. Check the spelling and selected country flag, if used.
  4. Click the adjacent ONAIR button.

Recovery during a live contest

STATUS / PROBLEM

CHECK

Wrong or stuck graphic

If CGplay responds, click CLEAR ALL and retrigger the required graphic.

CGplay freezes

Restart CGplay and confirm that ONLINE and UDP ONLINE return to green.

Contest data missing

Check JudoNet and the UDP connection.

Cloud statistics missing

Check the Graphics PC internet connection.

Data but no output

Check CasparCG Server and the NDI or SDI output.

Detailed diagnostics: Troubleshooting

Medal ceremonies

  1. Open MEDALISTS and click Get weights.
  2. Select the completed category and click Get medalists for selected weight.
  3. Verify the names, countries and competition name.
  4. Enable IJF World tour logo when required and click MEDALISTS.
  5. For one athlete, select the athlete and click SELECTED MEDALIST.

Country medal table

  1. Click Get medals, verify the standings and click ALL MEDALS.
  2. Use PLAY NEXT PAGE when the list contains more than one page.
Info
END OF BLOCK: Clear all remaining graphics. Restart CGplay between long competition blocks or event days when appropriate.
