Scoreboard display

Scoreboard display is used to present the current state of the Scoreboard application to the audience. It is meant to be an accurate representation of the state of the contest happening on the tatami. 

Scoreboard display can be opened either from Scoreboard application (Start SB display button) or from a Desktop shortcut or even from the Start menu.


Settings

Mat Configuration - set the mat 

Scoreboard configuration
  1. Central Settings Server - choose the server computer from which to pull the the various settings. All server computers in the local network will be automatically discovered.
  2. Auto Settings Mode - choose whether to pull settings from the server computer or to use the local settings (the settings below).
  3. Show Club Name - choose whether to show the name of the athletes club.
  4. Show Country Name  - choose whether to show the name of the athletes country. The two sided arrow next to the checkbox changes the display location of the country name.
  5. Show Club Logo - choose whether to show logos of the athletes club.
  6. Show Country Flag - choose whether to show the flag of the athletes country.
  7. Shorten first name - set the breakpoint length (number of characters) at which the first name stops showing as a full name but instead as an initial.
  8. Penalty cards - choose the way the penalty cards display.
  9. Background - choose the image that will be used as a default display image in Display mode: Logos. Display modes are explained in the Scoreboard application article
  10. Display size - choose the font size that is used in the Scoreboard display.
  11. Transition to next sponsor image - set the interval duration for which each image is displayed in Display mode: Logos. Background and sponsor images are played in a loop, each displayed for a set amount of seconds.
  12. Sponsor images - see how many sponsor images have been added to your competition. Below, you can see the preview of those images. Clicking on an image toggles whether the image is displayed in the loop.
Scoreboard Operator configuration - shows the current state of the connection. You can also change to which IP address you wish to connect.
  1. Primary Scoreboard - primary address to which to connect. By default it is set to localhost and port 855.
  2. Fallback Scoreboard - secondary address, to which the Scoreboard display connects to, when the primary address was unreachable.
  3. Show Discovered Scoreboards/Hide Discovered Scoreboards - shows/hides all discovered computers running the Scoreboard application. Only the computers with a running Scoreboard application that is broadcasting the same mat number as chosen above in Mat configuration will be shown. You can set each computer as the Primary or the Fallback Scoreboard.

Working with the Scoreboard Display

Using the Scoreboard display is very simple. After it is set up correctly, no additional interaction is required. It just presents everything being broadcast by the linked Scoreboard application.
