Report Patterns – How Athlete Data is Displayed on Reports

Report Patterns define how athlete information is displayed on all printed or exported documents in JudoManager, such as start lists, draw sheets, result reports and other generated PDFs.

With the new pattern system, organizers can fully customize the format of athlete descriptions according to their own national structure, federation rules, or event requirements. Instead of a fixed format, you can now choose from multiple predefined patterns and instantly preview how the information will appear.

How to Access and Configure Report Patterns

1. Open Display Patterns in JudoManager Desktop
  1. Open the JudoManager Desktop application
  2. Click the Data tab in the top ribbon
  3. Select the Display Patterns button

2. Athlete Description for Application and Reports
  1. After opening Display Patterns, a new window appears.
  2. The top section of this window is:
  3. Athlete Description for Application and Reports
    This section defines Report Patterns - the format used when displaying athlete information on printed/exported reports.

3. Use the Predefined Report Patterns
The Dropdown list contains predefined patterns that you can use immediately, such as:
  1. {country_short} {province_short}/{region_short}
  2. {country_short} {club}
  3. {club}/{country_short}
  4. {country_short}
  5. {province_long}
  6. {region_short}
  7. various country/region/club combinations
Once you select a pattern, the Preview below shows how the final text will appear on reports.

4. How to Create Your Own Custom Pattern
If you wish to create your own layout:

On the right side of the window, you will see Test data containing all available placeholders:
  1. {country_short}
  2. {province_short}
  3. {region_short}
  4. {region_long}
  5. {school}
  6. {club}
Double-click any placeholder (e.g., {club} or {country_short}) and it will automatically be inserted into the pattern field.

5. Save your Pattern
When you are done selecting or building your pattern, click Save.
Your selected pattern will now be used for all reports.

The data on the report, where you have selected the pattern {country_short} {province_short} {region_short}, appears as shown in the report bellow.
